The 2021 Highest Beauty is the best vintage yet of this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from this special site. Dense, chewy and magnificently-layered, it features dark berry flavors and captivating mineral and tobacco notes. At first, I found it very intellectual and serious, but as it opened up it became more playful and downright exuberant with the fruit coming more to the fore and the rich, dark chocolate flavors deftly balanced with freshness and precision. Hats off to the winemaking team who have lived up to the name of the wine and to the reputation of the world famous vineyard from which it is sourced. Spectacular. Enjoy now after decanting for an hour, but will likely only become more majestic with time. Should provide plenty of enjoyment to the patient collector who can hold onto it for 15 or more years.
