Scully Cabernet Sauvignon 2010
A delightful Cabernet with well-balanced fruit and floral notes in the bouquet. The palate is silky smooth, giving generous amounts of blackberry, cherry, cassis with sage, mint, and anise at the edges. Maintaining it’s balance from start to its very long finish, this wine is suitable for the cellar (through 2019) or for savoring today.
Scully Winery
Scully Ranch is located in the Mount Veeder AVA, the highest AVA in the United States. The 1700' Abreu-farmed estate vineyard straddles the top of a ridge just below the Mount Veeder peak (2660'), allowing for beautiful exposure all day. The vineyard sits above the fog line for plenty of sunbathing, and has a cool climate combining for elements that create fully ripe grapes. The soils are a combination of uplift and volcanic origin, and are quick-draining, resulting in small berries and intense flavors. The vineyard is farmed with attention to every detail to achieve balance, evenness, and optimal ripening.
