Rudd Sauvignon Blanc Mt. Veeder 2012
A perfect balance of fruit and mineral, this Sauvignon Blanc shows what the upper echelons of quality can achieve. The bouquet is extremely expressive with grapefruit pith, citrus zest and crushed stone. The palate showcases a sumptuous key lime pie component balanced by refreshing minerality and an exquisitely creamy mouth feel. Already a year old, this wine will dazzle for another 3-4 years. – California Wine Advisors

"Rudd Oakville Estate has always stood out to me as one of the greatest vineyard terrors I've seen, " said Frederick. "During my first experience working in Napa Valley, I noticed the red, rocky soils at Rudd Oakville Estate and imagined the great wine this site had the potential to produce. Twelve years lester, I'm looking forward to working with the Rudd team towards continuous improvement and realizing that potential with each new vintage." - Frederick Ammons (Ruddwines.com)
