This new project from The Prisoner winemaking team is a welcome addition to an already outstanding portfolio.

The palate offers layers of pure berries and lavender that are highlighted with hints of truffle and earth tones.

The bouquet is resplendent with black fruit, cocoa and spice box. The palate shows plenty of forward red and black current, but also sage, pipe tobacco and cut flowers.

Dense, dark hue in the glass, portending the luxuriously rich thrill-ride to come.

As it moves softly across the palate, it develops ripe plum, maraschino cherry, baking spice that surrounds a core of minerality that carries through to the very end.
