Miura Pinot Noir Williams Ranch 2014
The Williams Ranch Pinot Noir touts a sublime texture around the edges of an elegant and refined palate. The plum skin, dark purple fruit and pomegranate flavors typical of Anderson Valley are in balance and satisfyingly deep and integrated. Miura’s wines all have great tension that makes them taste fresh, despite their power, and the finishes go on forever.

Emmanuel Kemiji acted as The Ritz-Carlton Director of Wine & Spirits for over ten years. In 1989 Emmanuel became the twelfth American to pass the Master Sommelier exam in London, England and one of only ten to date to pass on his first attempt. In the same year, he received the “Sommelier of the Year” award by the California Restaurant Writers Association.
Miura winery was originally conceived one evening in late 1994. A group of friends, including Michelin-starred chefs Gary Danko, and Nick Peyton (Cyrus) amongst others, had gathered for drinks after work at Kemiji’s apartment when one the chefs suggested that it would be a great opportunity to experience a harvest first hand. Kemiji was put in charge of the project and he eventually left The Ritz-Carlton to dedicate himself solely to Miura Vineyards.
