Kenzo Sauvignon Blanc Napa Asatsuyu 2021
Once again, this rare gem is one of America’s most elegant and refreshing collector-level Sauvignon Blanc; a guaranteed thriller! The luxurious 2021 Asatsuyu is remarkably fragrant from the alluring bouquet (fresh gardenias and honeysuckle) straight on through to the scintillating finish. A plethora of energetic grapefruit, Asian pear, lemongrass and white peach on the palate. What really sets this apart is how elegant and balanced it is, in contrast to many modern overly-oaked new world Sauvignon Blancs. This is an absolute pleasure to taste now and will be just as mouth-watering through 2026.
Kenzo Estate Winery
Kenzo Tsujimoto first achieved success as the founder of Capcom, a Japanese developer and publisher of video games. During that time, he became enchanted with the Napa Valley after the historic 1976 Judgment of Paris, which launched Napa Valley wines onto the world stage. As Capcom’s business expanded into the United States, Kenzo sought a serene location to offer an outdoor alternative to the company’s indoor electronic sporting business. His affinity for California wine country and vision to build an outdoor retreat led him to a 3,800-acre mountain valley in Napa’s southeast corner.
