Jones Family Cabernet Sauvignon The Sisters 2013
Wow! This is a sexy and opulent Cabernet that is going to turn heads for the next decade. Sumptuous aromas of blackberries, cassis, and graphite lead to a lush palate that offers layers of dark fruit, baking spice, and soft, supple tannins. It impresses with finesse and depth of harmonious flavors now (decanting recommended) and will continue to offer pleasure for the next 7-8 years.
Jones Family Vineyards Winery
Their three estate vineyards are located in the northern Napa Valley at the base of Howell Mountain about 5 miles north St. Helena in the Calistoga AVA. 10 total acres of vineyards in 3 distinct blocks create unique lots with individual flavor profiles. Seven acres of cabernet sauvignon were planted between 1991 and 1993 on 110R rootstock from clone 8. In 1998 David Abreu designed and planted a 3 acre hillside vineyard of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and petit verdot.
