Henri Germain Meursault-Charmes Premier Cru 2011
This Meursault possesses a lovely ripe and fresh bouquet. The palate is surprisingly lean and mineral driven considering the ripeness of the vintage. Upon initial tasting, bright mineral notes are held up by delightful richness and complexity. Tasted after 2 hours of decanting, it put on weight and shows more stone fruit and bright citrus notes. The finish is clean, precise, and invites another sip. Definitely a candidate for the cellar, this will continue to evolve and become more expressive over the next 10 years.
