Domaine Roy & Fils Pinot Noir Incline 2018
Rich and intensely delicious red fruit includes raspberry and hints of tangy cranberry. Deep and dark, this satisfying new release has an exotic finish that will enhance an array of menus featuring grilled meats and fresh seafood. Decant prior to 2024 and enjoy through 2027.
Domaine Roy & Fils Winery
Domaine Roy & Fils is a collaboration between Marc-Andre Roy and winemaker Jared Etzel. The vineyard was planted in April of 2013 on an old hazelnut orchard neighboring iconic vineyards from Bergström, Cameron, and Maresh. Ten clones of Pinot Noir and two clones of chardonnay make up 13 high-density acres that are organically dry-farmed. The site became the Iron Filbert Vineyard, paying homage to the iron rich Jory soil series and the old filbert orchard that once stood.
Winemaker Jared Etzel grew up on the Beaux Frères Vineyard and was schooled in Enology and Viticulture at Oregon State University. He worked vintages at Cristom and Brick House Vineyards before traveling to Spain where he worked at Artadi & Clos Erasmus. Before developing Domaine Roy & fils, Jared moved to California where he worked with Fisher Vineyards, Kapcsandy, and Blankiet.
