Dalla Valle Proprietary Red Maya 2013
Dalla Valle is known as the last original Cult Cabernet from Napa still available at reasonable prices. The “Maya” is considered one of the five rarest wines in California and a stupendous thrill ride to experience most vintages. This new 2013 release is a spectacular juxtaposition of all the bold and elegant dynamics that have made Maya a classic example of Napa’s prized Oakville appelation at its finest. Bursting forth with a complex nose of blueberry, charcoal, cassis and floral notes are followed by a full-bodied, seamless mouthfeel that evolves gracefully. The majestic finish offers a freshness of dark fruit flavors that linger for a full minute and portend additional layers that leave you anticipating your next sip. The aging potential is extensive as the wine should continue to refine over the next 25-50 years.
