Chateau Boswell Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon 2013
Reminiscent of the highest rated Harlan vintages, this nearly flawless behemoth embodies the triumvirate that one looks for: historic vintage, spectacular vineyards, and a renowned winemaker hitting his stride! Built like a skyscraper yet lithe on the palate with cashmere-like texture, the galaxy of complex aromas and flavors includes dark plum, black cassis, and baking spices in the beginning. The expansive mid-palate showcases crème de cassis, blueberry, espresso bean, cocoa, with hints of spice. The finish is delightfully persistent showing notes of mint and sage along with muscular tannins that bode well for enjoyment anytime over the next decade (thru 2025). That said, this thoroughbred is so delectable now go ahead and pop the cork now then decant for a half hour.
