Chateau Boswell Chardonnay Dutton Ranch 2007
Combining the age-ability of the finest grand cru Burgundy with the full throttle Russian River fruit we adore, this boutique winery s biggest Chardonnay in terms of weight and opulence is sourced from the thirty years old vines of Sebastopol Vineyard and is their smallest (only 228 cases) in production terms. This tour de force expresses the nature of the vintage with its concentration and intense flavors that were allowed to develop during the warm days and cool nights enjoyed prior to harvest. The wine offers bold aromas of lemon oil and toasted caramel that are reminiscent of citrus infused Crème Brule. Rich and creamy on the palate, this Chardonnay offers notes of citrus intertwined with vanilla, minerals, lemon oil, and honeysuckle as well as great delineation for its massive size.
