Cattleya Chardonnay Pratt Vineyard RRV 2013
With 5 years under impeccable cellar conditions, this gloriously silky and buttery nectar tastes like liquid gold! Simultaneously pristine, refreshing, and oh-so satisfying, this inaugural release promises to deliver massive satisfaction for years to come. Framed by brilliant freshness, it evolves with complex flavors of apple, pear, lemon curd, nectarine, dried apricot, mineral, vanilla bean, flowers and honey, along with a savory swirl of sweet, exotic spices. Oak adds the perfect touch of buttered toast, perfectly dry on the incredibly balanced and long finish. Irresistible today, but has the potential to continue to age effortlessly, a rarely seen feat with California Chardonnay.
Cattleya Winery
By the end of 2011, after many harvests perfecting the craft of making wine, I set upon my own adventure—a label known today as CATTLEYA WINES. Meanwhile, I became a viticulturist and winemaker consultant; focused on vineyard optimization to produce exceptional wines from Sonoma and Napa Valley.
In 2015, I was awarded “Winemaker of the Year” by the San Francisco Chronicle, just over a year after being named one of Wine Enthusiast “40 Under 40 America’s Tastemakers”.
