The 2005 Summit, a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot, exhibits aromas of roasted herb, black cherries and cassis. In the mouth, lavender, espresso beans, and blackberry are deftly melded together with a hint of dark chocolate on the sultry finish that we savored a full 30 seconds. This wine is an elegant, complex, youthful yet accessible red that should drink well for 5 – 7 years or enjoy tonight after decanting ½ hour!
