Accendo Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Laurea 2019
The exhilarating 2019 Accendo Laurea Cabernet Sauvignon delivers an inspiring combination of deeply delicious, dark fruit + a freshness that bodes well for both short term and long term thrills. Notes of blueberries, blackberries and chocolate-covered espresso beans with hints of baking spices and graham crackers on the finish. The delightful journey crescendos with creamy vanilla oak and firm tannins (decant prior to 2024) to enjoy through 2030.
The Winery
At Accendo, Bart and Daphne Araujo are privileged and grateful to be working again
with much of the same small team that helped them build Araujo Estate. The collective
knowledge and experience of professionals like Françoise Peschon, winemaker; Michel
Rolland, enologist; and Steve Matthiasson, viticulturist, are integral to their
winegrowing success.
Inspired by the revolutionary Napa Valley wines of the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s, Accendo
pays homage to an earlier era and marks a beginning of a promising new paradigm: to
source grapes from some of the finest vineyard sites and terroir in Napa Valley; to make
a wine of balance and restraint in the style of Napa Valley’s past wines; and to produce
this wine with the commitment, energy and meticulous attention to detail that have
characterized their past efforts.
