Leads out with a gorgeous nose of blue and purple fruits with touches of violets and creme de cassis. On the palate it’s full of blueberry, blackberry jam, lavender with copious quantities of cocoa and a touch of clove and exotic spices. Amazing concentration and complexity coupled with a sensuous, supple mouthfeel make this one of the most remarkable wines to come out of Napa. Finishes with vanilla, flowers and balanced hints of dark chocolate deftly melded together with finely polished tannins. –
