Paydirt Proprietary Red Paso Robles 2011
The dark, black fruit from the Zinfandel, Syrah, and Petite Sirah play the leading role in this five varietal heritage blend. Red fruit elements emanate from the Grenache, while the Mourvedre lends an inky, earthy impression and weight to the palate. This wine is complex, concentrated, and well-structured. It erupts with endless plum, blackberry, and currant as well as anise, licorice, black pepper, and other savory notes. The acid and tannins are well-managed, balanced, and a perfect match for this ripe and generous Paso Robles red wine.

"McPrice ‘Mac’ Myers and Patrick McNeil share a common view on the wine business: Make friends. Make really good wine. Repeat. These two Gaelic-Gone-California-Native wineheads have been making, selling, and drinking wine together for years.
Mac shyly enjoys massive acclaim for his own wines and his work at Barrel 27 Wine Company. His wines are rich, focused, and highly expressive of the varietal and vineyard site. Mac is a Flavor-Geek. He enjoys delicate cuisine just as much as a proper carne asada. Just make sure the wine is right." (paydirtwines.com)
