Fait Main Las Piedras Cabernet 2014

This uber-rare Cabernet blend is intensely delicious with a cashmere-smooth texture and is the leading contender for Boutique wine of the acclaimed 2014 vintage. From one of the great sites in Napa, this Cabernet blend waltzes across the palate with boldness, exuberance and focus. Black cherry, red berries, hints of cocoa and a galaxy of sumptuous spices, reminiscent of favorite right bank Bordeaux in a particularly ripe vintage, all come together on the palate for an exceedingly satisfying experience. Dense, ripe, and full-bodied, with velvety tannins, this monumental effort displays a core of cassis, blackberry, mocha and caramel accentuated by hints of creamy toffee on the prodigious finish. This glorious new release is reminiscent of past favorites from Ovid and Checkerboard. Worthy of a 97 point rating tonight (decanting recommended) and, thanks to a harmonious balance, well on the road to 98+ points in the next 5 – 10 years.
